Hi, I am Deniela. I have been married for 4 and 1/2 years to my husband Corey. To date, I have been pregnant three times and have been fortunate enough to have one live birth. Our journey into parenthood began late February of 2008. Corey and I decided that I would stop taking BC a few months earlier to allow my body time to reset itself to begin trying for a baby. Imagine our surprise to find out in February of 2008 that we were pregnant! WE weren't going to tell anyone, but somehow certain members of the family, like my grandmother Carrie, and my mom, Debbie could tell by looking at me. Don't ask me how! Immediately we started looking at baby stuff because the planner in me wouldn't let me rest. I needed to know how much this stuff was going to cost us and I figured we should stock up on diapers... We didn't though, however, I did buy a few sleepers and washcloths that were on sale at Ross.
Our joy soon turned to sadness because I began to miscarry that child before I even made it to the first OB appointment. I remember it so well because I had to go to work on a rainy Saturday in March (normally teachers don't have to go into the building on Saturdays) it was cold, and I was cramping and only spotting at first. Soon however, I was flat out bleeding and hysterical. I called the OB and told me that there was nothing they could do because I was still in my first trimester. They did however, tell me to come in the following Monday for an ultrasound. Sadly, by Monday I had suffered a complete miscarriage. I missed a week of work, thank God the following week was Spring Break.
